Ganesh Chaturthi: Know the leaves to appease Lord Ganesha

According to Tantra, offering right leaves to Lord Ganesha along with the right mantra will help you fulfil all your wishes. First offer, shamipatra to Lord Ganesha and chant ‘Sumukhay Namah’. Read: How to install and worship Lord Ganesh’s idol

Then offer the following leaves with the mantra:

1. Bilavpatra: Umaputray namah.

2. Durvadal: Gajmukhay namah.

3. Ber: Lambodaray namah

4. Dhatura: Harsunave namah.

5. Tulsidal: Shurpkarnay namah.

6. Sem leaf: Vakratunday namah.

7. Tejpatta: Chaturhatre namah.

8. Caner leaf: Viktay namah.

9. Kadali or banana leaf: Hemtunday namah.

10. Aak leaf: Vinayakay namah.

11. Arjun leaf: Kapilay namah.

12. Marua leaf: Bhalchandray namah.

13. Agastya leaf: Sarveshvaray namah.

14. Vanbhatta: Ekdantay namah.

15. Bhangreeya leaf: Ganadhishay namah.

16. Apamarg leaf: Ganadhishay namah.

17. Devdaru leaf: Vatave namah.

18. Gandhari leaf: Suragrajay namah.

19. Sindur or Sindur tree leaf: Herambay namah.

20. Ketki leaf: Siddhivinayakay namah.

Offer 2 durva stacks, gandh and flowers and akshat in the end.
